In a world where many fathers are too busy to make time for their children, and in a country where some fathers abandon their responsibilities of providing for, protecting, and supporting their children, leaving the primary role of childcare and nurturing largely to women, Mr. Lubanga, the father of Adonai and Elohim, pupils at Kathy’s Kindergarten, stands out as an exemplary dad.
As the saying goes, “A father is someone you look up to no matter how tall you grow.” Mr. Lubanga truly embodies this role through his consistent presence and commitment to his children.
Ever since the two boys, who are in Baby Class and Middle Class, joined Kathy’s Kindergarten, he has faithfully dropped them off at school in the mornings and picked them up in the evenings. On occasions when he is unable to pick them up himself due to work commitments, he ensures that someone collects them and brings them to his workplace so that he can spend quality time with them before dark, despite his busy schedule.
“Daddy Adonai,” as he is fondly known, makes time to attend school meetings and actively participates in his children’s educational journey. He is proud of his sons and openly expresses his joy in being a father, saying, “Being a father to Adonai and Elohim is one of the greatest blessings of my life. Watching them grow, learn, and become better each day fills me with pride and gives purpose to everything I do.” The smiles on their faces are clear evidence of the strong bond they share with him.
He takes the time to follow up on their progress with their respective teachers, encourages them, and inspires them to become better each day. His involvement reflects the truth in the words, “Children learn more from what you are than what you teach.”
Today, we celebrate fathers like Mr. Lubanga, who do not simply delegate the responsibility of raising children but are directly involved in building, nurturing, and guiding them with love, care, and compassion.
